Holy mother Church
has always favored fine arts, and has always sought their noble service,
to signify and symbolize supernatural realities,
thus creating, over the centuries,
an artistic treasure to be preserved with every care.¹
For almost seventy years Sambuco family
is dedicated to the study and realization of manufactures for liturgical furnishings,
responding to features of functionality,
significance, dignity and beauty of the decoration of worship.
We are proud that Holy Father Pope Francis chose among the gifts to to bring in occasion of the WYD (World Youth Day) 2018, held in Brazil from July 23rd to 28th, the sacred vessels made by the Sambuco Company to celebrate this great event and contribute “in the exhortation apostolic nourishment of amazement for the mystery of God “.
The altar set chosen was created on the basis of one of the first decorations with which, about seventy years ago, Mario and Colomba, parents of Lucio and Luca, began the creation of manufactures dedicated to liturgical furniture, on that time, specially created for the Franciscan friars of Assisi, with whom today’s Pope seems to have a particularly close bond.
